Tocotrienols are parts of the Vitamin E complex. They are significantly more effective as an antioxidant than the tocopherols (up to 60 times). They also have a range additional signaling effects to enable new applications. These include lowering cholesterol, treating cancer, fatty liver disease, osteoporosis, protecting brain cells and eyes, and inhibiting inflammation. This has already been proven by a large number of studies.
Vitamin E and the integrity of the cell membranes and is of central importance for the development of life. It appears in nature as Tocopherol and as Tocotrienol, each in four variants from alpha to delta. Tocopherols are relative slow to react and durable and are preferentially transported in the body. Tocotrienols are short-lived, as an antioxidant up to 60 times stronger.
